TOURISM COMPANY PARTNERS
Our long history of working with tourism companies shows we are committed to helping them on their path to becoming environmentally friendly businesses. Many tourism businesses enjoy participating in our sustainability initiatives, whether it be sending staff to help with a beach clean up or contributing money, time, or resources to our programs.
Tourism companies have the option of joining our Partner or Verified Partner program. Both approaches seek to assist Tourism Partners in becoming more environmentally responsible.

Working with Tourism Partners
EDUCATION
With the help of marketing materials and educational programs, we have been collaborating with our Tourism Companies for many years in order to educate and support the staff and visitors of marinas. We offer a range of online courses and other materials to give partners the tools and information required to make sustainable choices everyday.
GO TO KNOWELDGE HUBGROUP ECO-WALK TOUR - SPLIT, CROATIA
Many tourism businesses send volunteers and staff to participate in our Eco Walk Tour in Split. This environmentally conscious walking tour supports Green Sail initiatives while also being a great team-building and educational activity.
FIND OUT MOREBEACH CLEAN UPS
We regularly run Underwater Beach Clean Ups in and around the Split (Croatia) area. We rely on our network of Tourism Partners, volunteers and local community groups to help us remove significant amounts of waste from unseen underwater environments in the bays and beaches of Split.
FIND OUT MOREGREEN SAIL REGATTA 2023
Green Sail would like to invite its partners to participate in the 2023 Green Sail Regatta taking place on 21 & 22 October 2023 in Sibenik, Croatia.
The Regatta’s objective is to connect all Green Sail partners in a relaxed nautical environment that facilitates environmental discussion and highlights the importance of sustainable tourism and the prevention of waste generation in the sea. Partners can participate in the Regatta sailing race, as well as the underwater and beach clean-up around the bay.

Any Tourism Company that wants to become more environmentally responsible can become a Tourism Partner and spread the Green Sail message to their stakeholders.
Marina Partners receive:
- Support in the promotion of green policies
- Employee education
- Cooperation in joint ecological projects
- Promotion through Green Sail website and social media channels

APPLY TO BECOME A TOURISM PARTNERHOW TO BECOME A VERIFIED MARINA PARTNER
Tourism companies have the opportunity to become a Verified Partner. Verified Partners pay an annual fee, which covers internal auditing of policies and procedures.
Once an audit is complete, Verified Partners will receive a Verified Partner rating out of 10 and a list of recommendations on how to improve on sustainability elements within their organisation.
Verified Partners receive:
- An internal audit of policies, procedures and operating systems
- A Verified Partner rating
- Marketing Materials to promote the Verified Partner rating
- Access to member only events & educational materials
Cost: €100 - €600 depending on the Tourism company size
As a non-profit organisation, all funds received by Green Sail are re-invested back into sustainability initiatives.

Organizations and businesses that support the sustainable tourism movement back Green Sail. These businesses have either adopted environmental protection-focused policies or have given or offered to give goods, money, or resources to the Green Sail initiative, enabling us to keep promoting environmentally friendly travel.
