Karolina has been a long-term Green Sail volunteer. Her passion for the preservation of the environment and her eco-friendly way of life has made great contribution to both Green Sail initiative and her local community.
Jaksa is a very skilled skipper who has also recognized the importance of environmentally conscious practices which he himself implements regularly while sailing throughout the Adriatic coast and while advising his numerous guests to do the same.
Shantal is a Mexican student enrolled in a master’s program in Sustainable Resource Management at the "Technical University of Munich" (TUM) in Germany. She is passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability.
Shantal believes everyone should have the opportunity to experience the beauty of everything nature has to offer, and that is why we need to start a cultural shift towards more sustainable living, including the way we consume, produce, and travel. Her aim is to make a difference working and inspiring others to fight for a more sustainable and fair future.
Anna is a Communication Design student at The Glasgow School of Art. She is delighted to be working with Green Sail and to be helping promote the importance of environmentally-conscious practices. She loves the fact that she can help raise such valuable awareness to others through something she loves, like illustration. Anna believes in the pursuit of environmentally friendly, sustainable living and that everybody has a personal responsibility to work towards this as best we can.
Besides motivating others, she is eager to gain knowledge, experience, and a sense of community through Green Sail.
Bela is a graphic designer who likes to draw people's attention to important issues using visual language. She believes that people need to be more environmentally friendly, which she communicates through her work. She believes that people perceive graphic information better.
As Green Sail Ambassadors, our team are able to get involved by identifying an area they want to improve or change, and doing something about it. We assist with resources, advice and financial investments into promoting and running local projects. Join us as an Ambassador in your local community and make changes to support our projects.
Antonio has become a Local Ambassador in Croatia after his eagerness and love towards the Adriatic Sea prompted him to initiate and organize a sea clean-up in his home town. Originally from one of the biggest shipbuilding ports in Croatia, he understands the importance of supporting sustainability practices. He plans to continue to organize and support clean-up actions in Croatia, working closely together with Green Sail on keeping the Adriatic Sea clean for future generations.
As the owner and founder of Business Sailing Experience Agency (BSEA), Tom is well experienced in leading a sustainable tourism business in Croatia. Personally, he is a firm believer in an ecological way of life and acting environmentally responsible on a daily basis. Professionally, specializing in organizing corporate sailing events, Tom ensures his company is always focusing on environmentally friendly practices and believes other companies need to adapt their operations in a way that it is not harmful to the environment.
Roman is our Local Ambassador in Austria. He notes that the Adriatic is such a great space for relaxation, sports and adventure, and as the beneficiaries of this environment, he strongly believes we should all ensure tourism is carried out in a sustainable way.
Roman contributes to this cause by spreading the word, in addition to his every day activities; recycle and re-use as much as possible, be conscious of the use of water as a resource, and of course, his personal cleaning efforts every time he is on the water or near a beach.
Ioana and Cristian are our Local Ambassadors in Romania. They are passionate about conservation and sustainability and believe that now, more than ever, is the time to change the way we consume tourism and engage travellers.
Ioana and Cristian hope to raise the conversation about eco-conscious sailing in Romania and abroad, where awareness and responsible sailing is limited. They hope to do this through their blog Cafune Experience.
As a part of Green Sail they would like to support the protection of nature for the next generations so they too can have a fair share of what we enjoy today. Through their business in Greece, they encourage all their customers to practice environmentally friendly sailing.
Our Interns are environmentally oriented students who would like to gain theoretical and practical knowledge of sustainable practices within the nautical sector. These students are eager to tackle environmental challenges and help to improve coastal communities!
Intern
Diana is currently studying Tourism and Sustainability at Linnaeus University in Sweden, and was hoping to gain firsthand experience in the fields of sustainability and nautical tourism by joining Green Sail. Throughout her time with the organisation, Diana has gained valuable experience completing research, creating blog posts and collecting data through field work. Diana was also able to understand what tourism means in Croatia from the perspective of both the local community, and tourists.
Intern
Having recently completed her degree in Sustainable Destination Development at Uppsala University in Visby, Sweden, Laura was excited to gain hands-on experience in the field of sustainable nautical tourism in Croatia. She supported Green Sail by creating social media posts, researching and contributing to a new online climate change course, and conducting environmental checks on boats. She feels very lucky to have been part of the Green Sail team and is eager to use the knowledge and skills she has gained in different destinations.

Tiantian has wanted to become an environmentalist since high school and is now studying Sustainable Resource Management at the Technical University of Munich, Germany.
Extremely eager to learn and take on new challenges, Tiantian has been supporting Green Sail through her research, blog articles and field work during her internship. She feels very lucky to experience the frontline work of sustainable tourism with Green Sail.
Intern
Joining Green Sail from the Mendel University in Brno (Slovakia) where she is studying Waste Management, Barbora was eager to gain valuable experience in sustainable tourism practices. She supported Green Sail in individual research and reporting, as well as on-the-ground activities in Croatian marinas. Personally, she is constantly seeking for new environmental friendly ways of conscious life.

Passionate about the protection of the sea and environment, Lorenzo is studying Environmental Sciences at the Tuscia University, Italy. Thanks to the Erasmus program, Lorenzo has had the chance to travel abroad and join the Green Sail organisation! His positive spirit and great personal qualities contributed immensely to the development of nautical tourism in Croatia.
Intern
Recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh, Annie joined the Green Sail organisation as a Design and Illustration Intern, becoming a vital team member from the very beginning. In addition to her positive and encouraging personality, Annie’s contributions to Green Sail have not gone unnoticed. With her keen eye for detail and strong work ethic, Annie’s skills aided in projects for the organisation, namely a Green Sail eco-tourism campaign. Always ready for new challenges, Annie eagerly helped create engaging and informative content including various promotional materials, infographics, brochures and video designs.
