Youth Ambassador Club

The program is designed as a blend of education, the sea, nautical activities, and hands-on experience but above all, as an opportunity for children to develop their own relationship with the sea and understand why we need to protect it.

A child who sees an octopus in the shallows for the first time, steps onto a boat, learns to tie a rope, or takes part in a beach cleanup quickly grasps something that is difficult to explain in a classroom: the sea is not merely a beautiful sight around us. It is a living system upon which we depend, and which depends on our behavior.

What does it mean to be a Youth Ambassador?

Becoming an ambassador is more than simply passing on information. It means becoming a positive example for others, showing curiosity, responsibility, respect for the sea and nature, and a willingness to take action. Ambassadors are encouraged to inspire their peers, listen to different perspectives, and demonstrate that even small individual actions can contribute to protecting our environment.

In this way, a workshop does not end the moment the children leave the room; what they have learned travels with them to school, home, their circle of friends, and the local community. Ambassadors become a bridge between knowledge and action, helping to create a culture in which caring for the sea and the environment becomes a shared value and a natural part of everyday life.
